Al Hartman's '32 Ford Coupe

Al Hartman's '32 Ford

Al Hartman's '32 Ford Coupe Hi-Boy is a home built street rod. The Viper Red coupe is powered by a 350 Chevy backed up by a 200-R4 transmission and passes the power back to a 9" Ford rear end. The Downs body sits on a pinched frame with an independent front suspension. Billet Specialties wheels provide the rolling stock for the coupe and the tan interior provides the comfort for cruising. The rear of the car features the Pro Street treatment with a four bar and coilover shocks and flush mounted tail lights. The unique reverse mounted scoops on the hood sides make you take a second look. Creature comforts include Vintage Air heating and cooling, tilt telescopic column and power windows and doors. The cruising tunes are provided by a AM/FM CD Player mounted in an overhead console. Al's coupe shows that home built cars can rival those of the professional builders when properly executed and extreme attention to detail.
