Scott Graves' '31 Chevy Roadster Pickup

Scott Graves' '31 Chevy Roadster Pickup is truly a home brewed classic. Scott built the entire car himself including the frame and body!

"Wanting a roadster of my own I decided to build one from the ground up after making many sketches and drawings and came up with this truck which I have a blast driving, getting thumbs up from young and old alike. Starting with 2x4 rect. tube cut and bent to shape, I then made up cross-members and mounts for all necessary items. A lot of measuring and fitting for proper location of everything is time consuming since I have not done this before. When it looks right weld it in and move on to the next item. The cab was first made with app. 80 feet of 1x1 14 gauge tube which I fabbed a roller for to get the body radius. Then 18 gauge galv. steel was cut, body lines rolled in place and finally welded to the 1x1 skeleton. The column is cut down from my 51' Chevy p.u. and an S-10 seat was shortened and narrowed to fit in the cab. The box is louvered on the sides and tailgate with a round aluminum 12 gallon tank mounted in the front of the box. Three quarter inch oak floor covers an additional 8 gal. tank in between the frame rails. A 350 with 3-dueces powers the truck for a great time of cruising. The project took about 2 years to complete."
