Ron Beckett's Bad
Black '37 Ford has a bad case of the meanies! With a dyno proven 540
horsepower 406 cubic inch small block and a 300 horse shot of nitrous,
this '37 has enough "go" to put most "bad" cars to
shame!
|
|
|

|
Ron's
mostly home built '37 isn't just all show and no go. The '37 features a
Gibbon fiberglass body with steel NOS fenders, hood and running boards.
The Roadster Shop pro street chassis supports the 406 small block, a
Turbo 400 and a narrowed nine inch rear. |
|
|
Looking
under the car, all you see is big rubber and a spotless chassis. The
trunk reveals a clean modern look and the "extra go power"
needed for those moments of insanity. Joe Thompson of Rockford, IL
covered the '37 with lots of flawless black paint and a foot deep
shine. |

The
fabulous leather interior was stitched up by Steve Ralfs of Durant, IA.
Nicely laid out and functional keeps Ron's mind on controlling this wild
rod. |
|
|
Ron
had a lot of help from a lot of people to get his rod built. Special
thanks to Ken's Rod Repair in Rockford, IL for the exhaust and wiring
along with lots of help and advice.
Watch
Northern Rodder magazine for a full article on this car in the near
future. Ron gave me his e-mail address and would like to hear from you.
