Paul
Wilson of Columbia, TN sent in some pictures of this '41 Willys
he's building at home. Paul purchased the base chassis in
Buffalo, NY and brought it home to Tennessee where he has
completed the chassis and is waiting for the body to arrive from
the body manufacturer. A 350 Chevy and 350 turbo is installed in
the Willy's chassis backed up by a 9" Ford rear with 3.50
gears. |

Plans for this
Willys include Intense Blue paint with pearl, light blue
interior rolling on American Racing wheels. The body is expected
in February so we should have some more pictures soon. |

Just got word
from Paul that his Willys body is done and he has picked it up.
Here's a shot of the body about to be loaded on Paul's trailer. |

The Willys is
home and ready for assembly. I'll be taking a trip to Columbia
soon and get some in person shots of this car and get a chance
to meet one of our members. |

I had a great
time in Columbia. I met with Paul and his friend Todd and even
took in a car show while I was there. Here's some new photos of
the Willys. |

Paul is in the
process of getting the wiring laid out and everything positioned
where he wants it. Actually, it's almost to the point of
starting the engine up. |
|
|

|
This shot shows
the interior of the Willys as it goes together. Once everything
is fitted, Paul will disassemble it and send it out for
painting. |

This shot shows
the fenders being fitted. Under the trunk lid is the fuse box. I
like the way Paul has laid out the wiring for this car.
Everything is easy to get to and the wiring has been very
carefully hidden. I'll be making some more trips to Columbia in
the near future to get some more pictures as this Willys goes
together. |

Paul just sent in
some new pictures of the Willys. Looks like he's getting it
ready for painting! The front end is mounted and it's starting
to look like something. Too bad he'll have to take it back
apart! |
