Mike
Abssy of San Diego, CA sent in some pictures of his home
project. Mike's going a little different route with this '30
Roadster than most would. That's a 512 Cadillac mill in there!
This Model A features a repop '32 frame by Squeak Bell,'36
headlights, '37 Plymouth tail lights, '40 Cadillac banjo
steering wheel, Schroeder sprint car steering box, Duvall
style windshield and all Ford steel except for the grille.

The
Cadillac mill started as a 500 cube motor and has been bored to
512. The engine features small chamber heads, big valves, shaft
rocker system,.540/308 cam, Edelbrock intake, 10.25:1
compression all hooked to a T56 6 speed with a custom flywheel,
Howe hydraulic bearing & Centerforce clutch.

Mike
has tried to keep the car as traditional appearing as possible
with the Schroeder steering box, Duvall style windshield and
tire/wheel sizing. This car will see duty on the street and at
the lakes. Mike says it will be on the street by the end of
August and ready for Bonneville in August '03. Future plans
call for black with a tan leather interior but it's going to
go at least 185 before that! Mike would like to thank his
neighbors John & Kyle for all their help.
